Dr Krasner is a psychologist and clinical psychologist specialising in work with children, adolescents and their families. She has been practising since 1987 and formed this independent practice in 2000.

Dr Krasner graduated from Manchester University in 1981 with a first class honours degree in psychology. She subsequently went on to St Andrews University where she conducted her doctoral research investigating the development of communication in infants and preschoolers with Down’s syndrome. Dr Krasner was awarded her PhD in 1985.

Between 1984 and 1987, Dr Krasner trained in clinical psychology within the National Health Service. She qualified as a clinical psychologist in 1987, attaining the British Psychological Society’s Diploma in Clinical Psychology.

Dr Krasner then worked in NHS children’s services, within a range of hospital paediatric services (for example, at the Westminster Children’s Hospital and at St Stephen’s Hospital, London), in community paediatric services (including those serving the communities of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Ealing, Southall & Acton), and in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, (including the services in Westminster, Fulham and the London Borough of Ealing).

In 2000, she formed her own practice and she has since worked as an independent practitioner.

In addition to providing an assessment and treatment service for children, teenagers and their families, Dr Krasner also offers consultation and training services to a range of schools, special schools, voluntary, state and private sector organisations providing services to children & adolescents and their families.

She held an honorary advisory role on the British Board of Film Classification’s Advisory Panel on Children’s Viewing fm 1999 until 2010. Dr Krasner has also served in an honorary advisory capacity for the BBC as part of the BBC’s Editorial Advisory Board for their youth magazines from 2007 - 2009.
