  • Referral Routes. How do you make an appointment? Do you need to see your family doctor/ GP or specialist first?

  • Initial Assessment. What will a first appointment be like? What will it cover? Who should attend? What can be expected by the end of it?

 Consultation and Training Services

Dr Krasner’s  Practice offers a range of consultation and training services.

Consultation Services
Individual and group based input for staff is offered to professionals working with children and adolescents in the state, voluntary and independent sectors, including:

  • Schools
  • Special schools
  • Nurseries
  • Youth organisations
  • Respite and long term residential facilities
  • Health services

...and many others.
The aim of this type of input is to enhance and develop staff skills and expertise, address specific difficulties, examine staff group functioning and patterns of teamwork, etc.

Training Services
Dr Krasner offers training in areas of children’s and adolescents’ psychological development, functioning and difficulties, tailored to the needs of specific staff groups and organisations.  For example:

  • Tackling Preschool Behaviour Problems. A training course for health visitors.
  • Understanding & Managing Challenging Behaviour. Courses offered at special schools and in residential facilities.
  • Children’s Bereavement. A training course offered to nurses working with mothers with breast cancer.
  • Children & Death. A training course offered to paediatric ward staff.
  • Understanding and working with children with autism. A course for voluntary sector organisations.

...and many others.
